My (Current) Favorite Snacks!

As an avid snack enthusiast, I have an obsession with between-meal foodie finds. Three meals a day simply doesn't cut it for me. I spent far too many years restricting my intake and depriving myself of the good stuff. Today, snacks have become one of my favorite things (coming in as a close second behind "The Office").
I post my snack finds on the 'gram a TON, and because of that I constantly get asked about what snacks people should scope out Whole Foods for on their next venture over there. Well, I'm using this super lazy snow day to list, in no particular order, some snacks that I've been LOVING lately!

Brand: Highland Farms
Snack: Quinoa Cinnamon Puffs
Where to Find: I buy them at a local supermarket, but you can order on Amazon!
Why I love them: These puffs remind me of cereal. I usually pair them with a greek yogurt and it always hits the spot. They're light and crunchy but have the perfect hint of sweetness. Plus you get a really great portion for one bag! There's also a chocolate flavor if I'm not mistaken, but I've only had the cinnamon and I really love them! Perfect carb-fix after the gym, before the gym, or even better...JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE HUNGRY.

Brand: Splitz
Snack: Split Pea Crisps
Where to Find: Whole Foods
Why I love them: These crackers are so unique! They resemble pretzel sticks in appearance but are dense, which is nice because they are filling. My favorite flavor is Falafel...YES, falafel. So so good! I love taking these with me to campus to munch on between classes or as a part of lunch.

Brand: Eat Enlightened
Snack: Roasted Broad Bean Crisps
Where to Find: Whole Foods, Shoprite, Online
Why I love them: These crisps come in so many awesome flavors, both sweet and savory. My favorites are Sea Salt, Garlic and Onion, and Cocoa Dusted. They resemble flavored almonds in appearance and texture. I love adding these into veggie bowls or snacking on them alone.

Brand: Foragers Project
Snack: Beet Veggie Chips
Where to Find: Acme, Whole Foods
Why I love them: THESE CHIPS ARE SO SO GOOD. They're slightly sweet from the beets but they're not just beet chips, allowing them to be denser and more filling. They taste like a veggie/tortilla chip hybrid, and are awesome alone or paired with hummus! For some reason these taste so wholesome and fresh to me, which I love!

Brand: Alyssa's Healthy Bakery
Snack: Healthy Oatmeal Bites
Where to Find: Some GNC's, online
Why I love them: These cookies are a lifesaver. Last year I used to make batches of oatmeal raisin cookies to grab for school, but this year as a college freshmen I'm just so busy and don't have the time to bake! That's where these come in. They taste so sinfully sweet, yet have no added sweetness. They're made with wholesome ingredients and are the perfect size! I order these in bulk for on the go snacks, add them to my sweet potato yogurt bowls, or pair them with a glass of cashew milk :)


Brand: Trader Joes
Snack: Kettle Popped Sweet & Salty Popcorn Chips
Where to Find: You'll figure it out ;)
Why I love them: Trader Joes literally kills it when it comes to creative snacks that WORK. These popcorn chips resemble rice cakes in appearance but the taste is insane. They're salty like popcorn, have a sweet buttery taste, are light and airy and crunchy. I eat them like chips, and they're so flavorful I usually just eat them on their own. Totally unique and delicious find! I tend to finish a bag after only two or three times diving into it.

Brand: Perfect Bar
Snack: Mini Peanut Butter bar
Where to Find: I get the minis at Whole Foods, but not all stores have them!
Why I love them: OMG. I hate to be that person, but Perfect Bars are simply perfect.The peanut butter flavor...it's literally just a huge slab of sweet peanut butter. I love the minis because they're the perfect size for a snack or an addition to a yogurt bowl! Plus I freaking love the ingredients list...super wholesome, like it should be!

Brand: Think Thin
Snack: Protein Bites
Where to Buy: I found these at Target
Why I love them: While I'm strongly against the brand name, I do love these protein bites. They're like little protein bars chopped up into bite sized pieces, coated with chocolate. My favorite flavor is the Salted Caramel. I love adding these to yogurt bowls or sneaking a handful before dinner for a quick pick-me-up. These taste like candy to me without all the junk! Win-win!

Brand: Pure Organic
Snack: Vanilla Almonds Ancient Grains bar
Where to Find: The Fresh Market, Whole Foods
Why I love them: Most bars on the market are loaded with protein, so these are such a refreshing find! I tend to get a lot of protein from other sources, so when I'm craving a denser snack but need to fulfill other macros, these do the trick. I love how they use ancient grains and how perfectly sweet and chewy this bar is!

So there you have it! Just a handful of my favorite snacks. It was so hard picking and choosing what to include, so I hope to do more posts like this in the future to incorporate the hundreds (literally) of other snacks I love.
